Eva Longoria Talks President Obama and ‘Devious Maids’
Politics is nothing new for Eva Longoria. She’s been politically active since she was 17. These days she’s taking it a step further by helping out with President Obama’s campaign.
She told “Extra’s” Mario Lopez, “The reason I support President Obama is because he’s the one that most reflects what I want our country to look like moving forward… It was an honor to be named one of the co-chairs of the re-election campaign and I’m a big Obama supporter.”
Eva, who earned the No. 3 spot on Forbes’ highest-paid TV actress list, is also working as a producer alongside Marc Cherry on the new Lifetime show, “Devious Maids.”
“It's an amazing show about four women, who happen to be domestic workers,” she said. “This is a perspective of the help, and we get to dive into their complex, rich stories.”
Mario caught up with the “Desperate Housewives” star in Times Square where she was kicking off Lay’s potato chip contest, “Do Us a Flavor.”
The contest invites fans to submit flavor ideas and offers the chance to win $1 million. To contribute your ideas, visit Lay’s Facebook page.
