Variety's third annual "Power of Women" luncheon, set for September 23 in Beverly Hills, will honor five women: Annette Bening, Eva Longoria, Lea Michele, Stacey Snider and Olivia Wilde - all recognized for making a significant difference through their philanthropic efforts.
"The goal of Variety's Power of Women is to give voice to the philanthropic and charitable causes closest to our Lifetime Impact Honorees' hearts, and to utilize the influence of the entertainment community to generate momentum for these same causes," said Variety VP and Associate Publisher Michelle Sobrino-Stearns.
Bening is being honored for her work with the Actors Fund; Longoria for her charity Eva's Heroes for special needs teens; Michele for PETA; Snider for her involvement with City Year; and Wilde for her work with Artists for Peace and Justice,
The luncheon is held in conjunction with Variety's annual Women's Impact Report and in partnership with Lifetime Television.
