Your New 'American Idol' Is...
Country boy Scotty McCreery has been anointed the Season 10 "American Idol"!
More than 122 million votes were cast for the 17-year-old McCreery and runner-up, 16-year-old Lauren Alaina, a show record. Watch one of McCreery's performances from Tuesday night.
"Never in my wildest dreams," Scotty said in disbelief after winning the competition. "I've got to thank the Lord first, he got me here."
The finale was filled with great performances. "Idol" contestant James Durbin rocked it with metal band Judas Priest, while Casey Abrams and Jack Black connected singing the Queen song "Fat Bottom Girls." Lady Gaga made a special appearance. Beyoncé, Tim McGraw, Tony Bennett, TLC, Marc Anthony and wife Jennifer Lopez also performed.
