Valerie Bertinelli: 'I'd Love Elton John to Guest Star' on 'Hot in Cleveland'
"Hot in Cleveland" star Valerie Bertinelli talked to "Extra" at Paleyfest 2011 about tying the knot with longtime boyfriend Tom Vitale and being an Elton John fanatic.
Bertinelli married on New Year's Day after dating for Vitale for seven years, and she acknowledges marriage isn't easy. "We're still working on it. Communication is really key, and sometimes we don't do it very well and sometimes we do it really well," the actress confessed.
Valerie also revealed she is a huge Elton John fan. "I really want to see him on the show! I want him to sing to me. I've loved him since I was 13. I saw him at the Troubadour in 1975... I saw him at the Forum for 'The Bitch is Back.'"
Bertinelli's more mature co-star, Betty White, also spoke to "Extra" and happily exclaimed that working on the show couldn't be better. "We all adore each other. We're all hanging out together... it's lovely." White had a message to share with a few troubled Hollywood stars: "Shape up and stay clean."
