School Rocks Out with Mark McGrath and Dave Navarro
As much of the nation grapples with devastating budget cuts to education, one Hollywood public elementary school decided to turn to rock and roll as a solution to its budgetary woes.
The Wonderland Avenue Elementary School held a fundraiser, and the boys from Camp Freddy (sponsored by John Varvatos) showed up to jam for proud parents who dined on gourmet sliders, and brownies from Big Sugar Bake Shop. "Don't Forget the Lyrics" host Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction), Billy Morrison (The Cult) and Donovan Leitch (son of legendary folk singer Donovan) and others rocked out a killer set of classic tunes for the packed house at famed L.A. hotspot, Industry.
Wonderland Avenue Elementary School was just rated by the L.A. Times as the #1 school in Los Angeles. Now that's something we can all rock out to! Click here to support the school, and check out the video.
