Valerie Bertinelli and Longtime Beau Are Engaged!
Actress Valerie Bertinelli is going to be a blushing bride -- again!
Things couldn't get any better for the Jenny Craig spokeswoman. Set to star in the new TVLand series "Hot in Cleveland" alongside Betty White and Jane Leeves, Bertinelli is making a TV comeback -- and has found true love.
She announced in the June issue of AARP Magazine that she and her boyfriend of nearly six years, businessman Tom Vitale, were ready to tie the knot.
"I've never had a male friend like I have with Tom," she says of her fiancé, who popped the question on a romantic trip in Italy. Tom added, "We're both still a little afraid of commitment, but then we were over there, and it was like our souls were calibrated... If the timing wasn't right, I wouldn't have asked."
This will be the second marriage for Bertinelli, who divorced rocker Eddie Van Halen in 2005. The couple spent 25 years together and have a 19-year-old son, Wolfgang.
