NFL Legend Lawrence Taylor Arrested for Rape
Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor was reportedly arrested on rape charges on Thursday morning in NYC.
Taylor, 51, was taken into custody after being accused of a rape at the Holidome Hotel in Montebello, NY. No other details of the alleged incident have been released. MSNBC reports the victim was 15, and other reports say she was beaten.
Taylor's attorney told "Extra" the former NFL player will be arraigned Thursday afternoon and that they are hopeful he will be released then. The attorney will speak with reporters at court after the hearing.
The Hall of Famer who helped lead the New York Giants to two Super Bowl victories retired in 1993. He was also a contestant on the eighth season of "Dancing with the Stars." He is married to his third wife.
