David Hasselhoff's Wife Asks Fans to 'Save' His Life
Pamela Bach Hasselhoff has made a desperate plea to fans to save her ex-husband David's life.
She says in a statement, "The despair, feeling hopeless and unable to believe that things can ever change with David's alcoholism over the years has affected our whole family."
"We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change. We ask David's fans, supporters and handlers to take swift action to save this wonderful man's life. I have always been close to my daughters to comfort and support them as well always being there for David."
"We will be forever hurt from this cruel disease. I am grateful for our two daughters who have been incredibly brave, strong and protective souls."
Authorities released a 911 call Tuesday from David's Thanksgiving weekend hospitalization.
"My dad just... he's collapsed," David's daughter Hayley, 17, is heard tearfully telling the operator. "He's standing up but he keeps falling back down... but then he got back up and he's fine. It's kind of scaring me."
A lawyer for David, 57, has denied he was hospitalized under psychiatric hold or had a seizure. He has been treated for alcoholism at least five times.
