Barker on AM: My Brother is Gone
Travis Barker broke his silence this afternoon following the death of his close friend and music partner DJ AM.
"Don't know how i am gonna play 2night but i am for AM. My brother is gone.i love u and miss u, i'll never forget all the good times we had," the drummer posted on Twitter. Barker is currently on tour with Blink-182.
He continued, "I'll never forget everything we've been thru and every time i play the drums i'll think of you. U were an amazing friend/DJ/human being."
Barker ended his series of three posts, saying, "Rest In Peace my brother, this really f--ks me up."
In September 2008, Barker and AM both survived a deadly plane crash in South Carolina. Four were killed in the crash and the musicians were listed in critical condition. Barker sustained second and third degree burns on his lower body and torso. AM suffered burns on his hands and part of his head.
