No Body Doubles in the Bedroom for Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘Wolf of Wall Street’
“Extra’s” Jerry Penacoli sat down actor Leonardo DiCaprio to talk about his new movie, "The Wolf of Wall Street,” and how he did not use body doubles for some of the film’s racy sex scenes.
DiCaprio revealed, “It was all me, pal… all the flopping around, everything, it was all me!” -- including a sex scene involving a candle.
Leo added, “Look, when you do a character like this, you have to go all-out, we can’t pull any punches and you have to just swing for the fences, so hopefully people enjoy it.”
The Oscar nominee plays real-life stockbroker Jordan Belfort in the Martin Scorsese film, chronicling Belfort’s rise and fall. DiCaprio explained, “As soon as I read this guy’s account of his days on Wall Street and this hedonism, I became obsessed with playing him.”
Leo also talked about a recent home accident that left him with a sprained ankle. “I'm sure it sounded more dramatic than it is. You feel silly saying you sprained your ankle, but it does hurt, for God’s sakes.”
“The Wolf of Wall Street” howls in theaters Christmas Day.
