Report: Cory Monteith’s Body Cremated Without Dad’s Knowledge
Cory Monteith's father never got to say a final goodbye to his son. Joe Monteith told TMZ he was “totally devastated” that his ex-wife had his son's body cremated without his knowledge.
Cory's body was reportedly released to his mother, Ann McGregor, on Tuesday. She decided to hold a private viewing with the actor's brother Shaun and Cory's girlfriend Lea Michele at the hospital, before having his remains cremated.
Joe Monteith was heartbroken. "I always loved both my sons and am going to miss Cory very, very much. I'm saddened at the fact that I couldn't have been there to see my son before he was cremated."
When TMZ asked about Cory's heroin use, Joe said he was “shocked.”
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
