Diogo Morgado on Being Called 'Hot Jesus'
"The Bible" star Diogo Morgado, who plays Jesus in the History Channel series, opened up to "Extra's" Maria Menounos about his role, and an emotional upcoming episode.
When Maria asked about his nickname, “Hot Jesus,” Morgado said, “I think its good. It’s nice to hear, but I’m an actor, this is what I've done for as long as I remember. A good compliment would be, 'Look Diogo, you did a good job,' but I’m happy with the rest of it.'”
Diogo went on to reveal he did not expect the overwhelming response to the show. “It’s a huge surprise.”
The final chapter of “The Bible” airs Sunday, March 31 on the History Channel.
