'Twilight' Author Stephenie Meyer on Trading Vampires for Aliens
"Extra's" Maria Menounos got the scoop on "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer's bestseller turned alien invasion film "The Host," starring Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, Max Irons and Jake Abel. Meyer joined Menounos at The Grove to chat about trading vampires for aliens.
Meyer explained that fans will find a “little bit” in common between “Twilight” and “The Host.”
“I feel like they're very different stories,” she said. “There's still some romance cause I wrote it.” Meyer added, “[Romance is] really fun to write, and it’s something that makes us do crazy things.”
“Host” stars Irons and Abel are bracing for big blockbuster fame. Abel told Maria, “I don’t think you ever get used to this,” while Irons added, “It’s kind of unnerving, but flattering.”
“The Host” visits theaters nationwide on March 29th!
