Wahlberg and Diddy on Oscars, Exes and New Business Venture
Actor Mark Wahlberg and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs stopped by The Grove to chat with “Extra’s” Mario Lopez about the Oscars, ex-girlfriends, and their new joint project.
Mario asked the “Ted” actor what he thought of pal Seth MacFarlane’s performance as the 2013 Oscars host. “He killed it. He's the funniest guy on the planet and what a great place to showcase his talent.”
Turning to Diddy, Mario said “The X Factor” is looking for some new judges… maybe? The rapper laughed, “You know, Simon's pockets is kind of tight and I'm kind of expensive. I have these six kids and these tuitions are out of control.”
Combs also talked about his ex and now friend Jennifer Lopez, who told once Mario she thought Diddy would make a great judge.
The music producer said, “She's definitely one of the most beautiful people that I've ever had the blessing to know and to love, and I think that because she's cool, she makes it cool and also she's a player. She just knows how to keep all us men in line, you know, just to be honest.”
As for their new venture, Wahlberg said he and Combs have known each other since 1991 and recently went into business together to market the new water product, AQUAhydrate. Combs explained, “To me it's the world's best-tasting water.”
Wahlberg said he drank it while training for “The Fighter.” “I noticed that my recovery time was literally cut in half. It's the science behind the water that makes it so great,” which allows AQUAhydrate to offer the benefits of leading sports drinks minus all the sugar and artificial ingredients.
Diddy added, “We're partners in this. We're not just celebrity endorsers, and we're going to make it the water of this generation.”
