Oscars Fashion: Pale Gowns, Sparkly Dresses and a Pop of Color
The 2013 Oscars red carpet trends were split between ethereal pale dresses and sparkly, eye-catching metallic gowns.
Jennifer Lawrence was a vision in a wedding-like Dior Haute Couture gown, while Anne Hathaway was pretty in Prada pink. Charlize Theron showed off her statuesque figure in a white, floor-length Dior Haute Couture number. Beauties also shined in pale shades, like Amy Adams in a form-fitting Oscar de la Renta, Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen and Octavia Spencer in an elegant Tadashi Shoji.
Following the metallics trend, Naomi Watts sparkled from head to toe in a futuristic silver Armani Prive number, as did Jessica Chastain, who chose a glittery copper column by the same designer.
Halle Berry dazzled in a Bond-inspired Versace dress, Melissa McCarthy shined in an embellished gray David Meister gown, and Catherine Zeta-Jones glittered in a shimmery, beaded Zuhair Murad gown.
Adding a pop of color on the red carpet were Maria Menounos in pink Romona Keveza, Jane Fonda in yellow Versace and Jennifer Garner in plum Gucci.
Helen Hunt started her own fashion trend this year, wowing in a navy blue H&M gown. The Oscar nominee dressed up the look with $700,000 worth of diamonds.Which dress did you like best? Vote for your favorite below!
