Backstage with Michael Strahan at His Broadway Debut in 'Elf'
“Extra’s” AJ Calloway was backstage with “Live with Kelly and Michael” host Michael Strahan for his Broadway debut in “Elf the Musical,” based on the hit comedy about Buddy the elf.
Although he once played football in front of tens of thousands of fans, Strahan told Calloway that he had some pre-performance jitters. “Nervous! The nerves are still going and I’m done.”
Strahan has two roles in the musical, as a cop and a bell-ringing Santa. “It was great, definitely an adrenaline rush. In a game, I don’t have to remember any line. I just go out there and fight and grunt.”
