Usher's Birthday Dinner with Tom Cruise and Ridley Scott Explained
R&B singer Usher had a blast hanging out with Tom Cruise and Ridley Scott for his birthday, but the London dinner almost didn't happen! It turns out the gathering he tweeted about on Oct. 13 was a coincidence.
The singer told “Extra’s” AJ Calloway that Cruise, his longtime friend, happened to be sitting right across from him at the restaurant. Soon enough, Tom invited Usher and a friend to join him and Ridley, and the conversation flowed from there. “Before you know it, three hours passed and we’re laughing and still having a good time…cakes came out… and wow, this is just the coolest birthday ever."
Usher posted an Instagram photo of the group with the caption, "Just an average pre-birthday for @Howuseeit…thank you Tom and Ridley for dinner lots of laughs and good c."
The 34-year-old is one busy guy these days, especially with the launch of his new video game, “Dance Central 3.” Watch as he challenges AJ to a dance off!
