John Legend Wants Everybody to 'Wake Up'

R&B hit maker John Legend has teamed up with hip-hop group The Roots for their new album "Wake Up" -- full of soulful classics.

"We basically made a full album of '60s and '70s covers that kinda address some of the things still going on in the world today," the singer told "Extra's" AJ Calloway.

Legend said that "Wake Up" represents "everybody really coming together and trying to make the world better."

For soul music lovers, expect to hear Legend and The Roots cover a little Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers and Donny Hathaway.

You can grab a copy of "Wake Up" -- in stores now.
