How the 'Dancing' Stars Stay Thin


The "Dancing with the Stars" cast members rehearse for around six hours a day, but it takes more than sweat to keep these stars slim!

Melissa Rycroft tries to make time for a healthy lunch. The Texas native's midday meal could include something like a Santa Fe salad with chicken breast, avocado, tortilla strips and black beans. Melissa admits she slips from time to time. She tells "Extra," "I'm a little southern girl so my favorite stuff is fried anything!"

"Dancing" pro Lacey Schwimmer makes sure to eat healthy. Her routine includes non-fat yogurt for breakfast, a chicken or steak tostada for lunch, and steamed veggies at dinnertime.

Melissa and Lacey look fit on the dance floor, but the biggest weight loss champ so far is one of the male competitors! Funnyman David Alan Grier tells "Extra" he has dropped 26 pounds!
