Radio DJ Casey Kasem Missing, Judge Orders Investigation

American Top 40 DJ Casey Kasem disappeared from a Santa Monica hospital last week, and now a judge has ordered a court investigator to find him, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The judge also appointed daughter Kerri Kasem temporary conservator of the star, who is reportedly worth $80 million.

It seems an ongoing family feud might be to blame for his absence.

Julie, Kerri and Mike Kasem, Casey's children from his first marriage, have been publicly at odds with his wife Jean for some time.

Now, they claim Jean moved the 82-year-old from a hospital in L.A. to an unknown location, despite the fact that he his suffering from Lewy Body Dementia.

Kasem's daughter Julie told THR, "We had a wonderful visit with him Tuesday at Berkley East Convalescent Hospital -- he was thriving there -- and she yanked him out of there after hours. "

Casey's brother Mouner added, "We're scared. Is he getting the care he needs?"

Jean's attorney, Craig Marcus, told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel S. Murphy he has "no idea" where Casey Kasem is, only that he is out of the country.

Kasem's children believe the attorney is lying, saying Jean was overheard talking about taking their dad to a Washington State Indian reservation.
