Paul Walker’s Daughter Meadow Makes Rare Public Appearance to Continue Dad’s Legacy
Meadow Walker is honoring her dad and his causes through the Paul Walker Foundation.
The 17-year-old made a rare public appearance over the weekend to present Adrian Grenier with the 2016 Paul Walker Ocean Leadership Award at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The “Entourage” star was honored because of his work with The Lonely Whale, an organization that helps the world's oceans through education and awareness.
The award recognizes individuals who use their public stature to advance ocean causes.
Grenier posed for a photo alongside Meadow and the aquarium executive director Julie Packard. He tweeted the pic with the message, "Honored to share my voice today. Thank you @paulwalkerfdn for recognizing my work with @lonelywhale. #DoGood."
He also said in a statement, "It's an honor to receive the Paul Walker Ocean Leadership Award. I share Paul's inquisitiveness for the mystery of the ocean and the great potential it holds for new discoveries that will enrich the lives and inspire the curiosities of the next several generations. I also share Paul's passion for ocean health and recognize that we have an opportunity to create real and lasting change that will benefit our marine environment and ultimately ourselves."
Meadow launched the Paul Walker Foundation in 2015. At the time, she wrote on Instagram, "Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others.”
