Gotcha Where She Wants Ya: Sarah Palin Interviews Donald Trump
Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin scored a 10-minute sit-down with current presidential candidate Donald Trump for her OANN.com show "On Point with Sarah Palin" ... and it went just about how you'd expect!
Palin heaped praise on The Donald, saying she admired him for making "the sacrifice to hit the campaign trail," and decrying the media's "gotcha" questions. Trump had recently been asked to name a personal favorite Bible passage, but declined. He told Palin, "You know, there are certain things that you and me and a lot of other people like to keep personal."
Palin referred to Trump's supporters as "Trumpservatives," spending a chunk of her time with the candidate asking him about the economy and the need for overhauling the tax code, when she wasn't marveling at his guts and at his ability to please Evangelicals, members of the military, and the Tea Party.
The lovefest (during which the camera appeared to be focused on the people behind Mr. Trump rather than on Mr. Trump) will do little to squelch rumors that Trump might tap Palin as his veep, should he get the Republican nomination.
