Comic-Con: Bloody-Good Changes for 'Scream Queens' in Season 2
Variety reports on some of the big changes coming for Season 2 of the comic horror series "Scream Queens," including the addition of some familiar faces/fresh victims.
At a panel on Friday at Comic-Con in San Diego, returning cast members Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Keke Palmer, and Lea Michele were joined by newcomers John Stamos and Taylor Lautner.
Stamos is set to play a doctor who is the first recipient of a hand transplant, and in classic horror-genre style, the origins of that hand might become an issue.
"Twilight" hero Lautner, who will play Cassidy Cascade, said of joining the cast, "It's completely different for me. I've never done anything like this, and I just wanted to work with talented people."
Both Colton Haynes and "SNL's" Cecily Strong will also pop up on the cult-favorite series.
The other big change for the series is that the action will be taking place three years after the events of Season 1, in a hospital. “I think it's bloodier and funnier,” executive producer Ian Brennan said during the panel. "I feel like we're leaning into the creepiness a little more and the comedy a little more."
