Did Jay-Z Just Apologize for Cheating on Beyoncé?

On his new album "4:44," rapper Jay-Z appears to address rumors that he was unfaithful to Beyoncé.

On “Kill Jay-Z,” he references his infamous elevator fight with sister-in-law Solange Knowles after the Met Gala in 2014. Over the years, it was rumored that the fight was about fashion designer Rachel Roy. The 47-year-old raps, "You egged Solange on / Knowin' all along / All you had to say you was wrong.”

Jay-Z also mentions Eric Benét, who called it quits with Halle Berry amid cheating rumors. He raps in the song, "You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away… Never go Eric Benét.” Eric, who is now married to Manuela Testolini, took to Twitter to respond to the lyrics, writing, "Hey yo #Jayz! Just so ya know, I got the baddest girl in the world as my wife....like right now!"

In the song, Jay-Z explains his desire to change things for their daughter Blue Ivy, rapping, "But you gotta do better, boy, you owe it to Blue / You had no father, you had the armor / But you got a daughter, gotta get softer.”

His title song, “4:44” seems to be an apology song to Beyoncé. In it, he raps, "I suck at love, I think I need a do-over / I will be emotionally available if I invited you over / I stew over/ what if / you over my s**t?."

Along with admitting he doesn't deserve Beyoncé, he raps about how his actions could affect their children: "And if my children knew / I don't even know what I would do / If they ain't look at me the same / I would probably die with all the shame / 'You did what with who?' / What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate? / You risked that for Blue?"

In “Family Feud,” Jay-Z mentions “Becky,” presumably the same “Becky with the good hair” from Beyoncé's “Sorry.” He raps, "Yeah, I'll f**k up a good thing if you let me / Let me alone, Becky / A man that don't take care his family can't be rich."
