'Frasier' Star John Mahoney Dead at 77

John Mahoney, who starred in “Frasier,” has died, reports Variety. He was 77.
Mahoney passed away on Sunday while in hospice care, according to his manager Paul Martino.
The actor is best known for playing Martin Crane, father of Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) and Niles (David Hyde Pierce) on “Frasier” from 1993 to 2004.
Mahoney went on to star in “In Treatment” in 2009, and reunited with “Frasier” castmate Jane Leeves in “Hot in Cleveland,” playing Betty White's love interest on the show from 2011 to 2014.
