Ryan Reynolds Confirms Daughter’s Name, ‘Everybody Knows’
Actor Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively welcomed their first baby a few months ago, but have been shy about releasing the little one's name, until now.
Reynolds sat down with “Today's” Willie Geist to promote his new movie, “Woman in Gold,” and talked about the new little woman in his life, and no, her name is not Exacalibur Anaconda Reynolds.
"That is not the child's name," Reynolds joked. "It's Butternut Summersquash.”
The proud daddy finally confirmed the name of his daughter, "It's James," he said. "Everyone knows."
Why the hush-hush on the name? Reynolds' revealed, "I didn't want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media." Reynolds went on to explain, "Because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, 'Why did you do that?'"
