It's been an eventful week for Paltrow, who celebrated her 46th birthday Thursday, and whose wedding this evening is actually her first — the first time she married was an elopement.
The couple announced they were engaged in January on the cover of her Goop magazine's Sex & Love issue. They had dated for over three years.
In Goop, Paltrow said of Falchuk, "Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be. I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy."
Paltrow was married to Coldplay's Chris Martin, with whom she has two kids — Apple, 13, and Moses, 11. They divorced in 2014. Falchuk's marriage to Suzanne Bukinik ended in 2013. They had two children, Brody and Isabella.
