Orlando Bloom’s ‘Fantastic’ Reaction to Katy Perry’s ‘American Idol’ Gig

Months after their split, Orlando Bloom is still singing the praises of his ex-girlfriend Katy Perry.
Last night, the actor, looking dapper as he attended the premiere of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” learned about Katy's big judging gig on “American Idol” while chatting with “Extra's” Mario Lopez. Orlando gushed, "I'm sure she'll be great. I didn't know she was doing that… Well, then, she'll be fantastic. She's great at everything she does.”
Fans are happy to have Bloom back from the undead as Will Turner in the “Pirates" franchise. Orlando shared, “I got a phone call saying they want to bring me back into the franchise. And I was like, 'How are they gonna do that in an authentic way?' and also, at the time, I didn't want to leave my son. But they had this pitch that was an emotional hook to the movie, and then I get to kiss Keira at the end of the movie, so it's a win-win. Not a bad day at work.”
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” hits theaters May 26.
