The Family of Suge Knight's Alleged Victim Speaks Out to 'Crime Watch Daily'
Once called the “most feared man in hip-hop,” infamous music producer Marion “Suge” Knight now sits behind bars, unable to make his $10 million bail while he awaits trial for the hit-and-run death of Terry Carter.
Allegedly, it was Knight's anger over his portrayal in the box-office smash “Straight Outta Compton” that set into motion the series of events that left Carter in the path of Knight. Carter, who was known as the community's peacekeeper, was reportedly summoned to smooth out tensions between an angry Knight and the makers of the film.
Instead, Carter became the victim of a horrific attack. Now, only on “Crime Watch Daily,” you can hear Carter's family share their devastation over losing one of Compton's most beloved icons. “I didn't know how severe the accident was. I found out when I got to the hospital and watched… [the news] on the [TV] screen in the waiting room. That's how I found out, through… [TV],” shares Carter's daughter, Crystal Carter.
If convicted on criminal charges, Carter's hit-and-run will be Knight's third felony, which could result in a life sentence for Knight, under California's three-strikes law.
To hear more from Carter's family, tune in to “Crime Watch Daily” this Friday, February 19.
