Octomom Investigated for Welfare Fraud
Nadya “Octomom” Suleman may be looking at jail time for alleged welfare fraud.
TMZ reports that the L.A. County Dept. of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation department has taken steps to seize Suleman's bank records and other financial documents, having obtained search warrants to check out her home and her manager's office.
The WFP&I has been investigating Suleman after getting a tip that she was collecting welfare in 2012, even though she allegedly grossed more than $200,000, says TMZ. The mom of 14 kids qualifies for welfare benefits if she earns less than $119,000 in a calendar year.
If convicted, Suleman could face three years in prison.
