Beyoncé gave birth to her twins last week, but were they born prematurely?
TMZ reports that Beyoncé did not experience a full-term pregnancy. Sources told the site that the babies are “under the lights,” but would not go into more detail. The phrase can be associated with babies dealing with jaundice. Lights are used to lower the bilirubin in the blood and get rid of yellowing in the skin and eyes.
Jaundice is a common condition in premature babies, but its cause is not life-threatening if treated.
The site recently broke the news that the twins are still at the hospital dealing with a “minor issue.”
