Nick Gordon’s Lawyer Fights Back Against Bobby Brown’s Accusations
In Bobby Brown's new "20/20" interview with Robin Roberts, he seems to suggest Nick Gordon is responsible for the deaths of Whitney Houston and his daughter Bobbi Kristina. Now, Gordon's legal team is reacting to the claims.
Brown said in the interview, which will air tonight, "It's not a mystery to me. The same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney. There's only one person that was around both occasions.”
When Roberts responded, "You won't say his name — Nick Gordon is who you're referring to,” Bobby said, "I won't say his name."
Gordon's lawyer Jose Baez, who also reps Casey Anthony, has hit back at the claims, telling People magazine, "We have repeatedly said that Nick Gordon is innocent of any wrongdoing. He has not been charged with any crime. Enough is enough; let's end this baseless speculation.”
In April, Gordon made an appearance on "Dr. Phil," where he spoke about his positive impact on Whitney and Bobbi Kristina, saying, "Regardless of what everybody thinks, I made Krissy and Whitney's last few years on earth as happy as they would be. I gave them somebody to trust, to talk to, to be there, someone genuine.”
Gordon lived with Bobbi Kristina at the time she was found unconscious in a bathtub in January last year. After her passing in August, Gordon was hit with a $50 million wrongful death civil suit from Bobbi Kristina's family.
"Extra's" AJ Calloway recently caught up with Robin Roberts at "Good Morning America" to chat about her new "20/20" interview with Bobby Brown. Check it out!
