Kobe & Gianna Bryant’s Memorial — How Will the Tickets be Distributed?
In less than two weeks, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna will be honored at a memorial at Staples Center.
The question is… who will be allowed to attend?
TMZ reports that tickets will first be given to friends, family, NBA officials, players, season ticket holders, and local politicians.
The remaining tickets will go to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Staples Center holds around 20,000 seats, so it is impossible for every fan to be accommodated.
It is still unknown exactly how the public will get tickets.
Law enforcement sources told the outlet that those who don't have tickets will not be able to come close to the venue. The streets around the sports arena will likely be closed for security and traffic control, similar to Michael Jackson and Nipsey Hussle's memorials.
The memorial, which will take place on February 24, is reportedly being broadcast on multiple networks.
It has not been revealed who will speak, but a number of people want to take the mic.
Weeks ago, the Los Angeles Coliseum was also reportedly being considered as a place for the memorial since it can accommodate roughly 80,000 people.
