Kristen Stewart on Her Sexuality: ‘I Am Not Ashamed or Confused’
Actress Kristen Stewart is just one of the big-name stars to grace the cover of Elle's November issue, which celebrates eight female talents.
Stewart has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Alicia Cargile, but has only started gushing about her love recently. In the issue, Stewart opens up about her love life, saying, “I'm not ashamed and I'm not confused. Things have changed. And not just with me — we're really allowed to encourage this new acceptance to develop and be awesome.”
The issue also put the spotlight on Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong'o, Anna Kendrick, Helen Mirren, Aja Naomi King, and Kathy Bates. Amy talked about the confusion she experienced in her twenties. She said, “I wasn't working, and I wasn't happy. I kept trying different acting techniques, like, I'd try to act like the actresses who were getting hired. I thought maybe then I'd get a job. I spent the majority of my twenties trying to figure out who I was and where I fit in, not just in Hollywood, but also in the world. It took me a long time to sort of find my own voice.”
Amy has been able to move on from her twenties and has been starring in loads of movies, including her upcoming thriller “Arrival.” She is currently promoting the film with co-star Jeremy Renner at the 60th BFI London Film Festival.
