Get a Vintage Look Reminiscent of the ‘Mad Men’ Beauties
The final episodes in the final season of “Mad Men” kick off on April 5th on AMC.
Whether you're drawn to the retro-themed show for the witty dialogue, scandalous affairs, or unscrupulous dealings, one thing's for sure -- you can't help but be mad for the sensational style.
From head-to-toe, the styling reflects the zeitgeist of the '60s; coiffed 'dos, psychedelic prints, and standout beauty. The beauty of the era was all about a done-up face from brow to lip... and everything in between.
In honor of the show's final season, here are a few essential items for your beauty arsenal to achieve a look reminiscent of the “Mad Men” ladies; Betty, Joan, Peggy, Megan and Sally.
For the face, look for a powder or foundation that creates a smooth finish. Betty Francis (January Jones) may look like an unhappy housewife, but when it comes to her face, she's flawless. She keeps it simple and classic from head to toe.

For the lips, look for a natural lip color to achieve a subdued look. For a more dramatic effect, go for a bold lip hue. Most people think red when they think of Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks), but for her lips, do a pink or peach matte lipstick versus a gloss.

For the cheeks, look for a gel blush or cheek stain to achieve a just pinched look. Peggy Olson's (Elisabeth Moss) still a young and fresh-faced businesswoman and keeps her look natural with minimal makeup… just a hint of pink to the cheeks.

For the eyes, look for a liquid liner to create a winged line similar to what Megan Draper (Jessica Paré) wears. She's a tad more high-fashion when it comes to her makeup, compared to the other ladies. She lived in Hollywood! A dramatic look comes easy to this star.

For the brows, look for a compact that makes sculpting your brows easy as ABC. Sally Draper (Kiernan Shipka) has grown up from schoolgirl to stylish young lady right before our eyes. Not to mention that she rocks the best bold brows in the business, and is often seen trying out the brushed-up brow trend.
