Steve Harvey to Speak Out on Miss Universe Incident
TV personality Steve Harvey is opening up for the first time about his pageant flub in a two-day television event called “Miss Universe: The Truth"!
Few can forget the moment Harvey accidentally named Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez Miss Universe by mistake, when the crown actually belonged to Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach.
The event, taking place Jan. 18 and 19 on Harvey's show, will feature both contestants as well as second runner-up, Miss USA Olivia Jordan.
Harvey said in a statement, "This has caused a lot of sleepless nights for me. I didn't do any interviews until I could talk to the two people who were affected the most, Pia and Ariadna. No matter how tough it was for me, I can't imagine how it was for these two women. This finally gives me a chance to have a moment of closure.”
