Will Reality Star Teresa Giudice Leave Prison Early?!
UPDATE: Teresa Giudice did not try to get a “weekend pass” out of prison, despite a new report. Guidice's lawyer told Gossip Cop the story is “1000 percent not true.”
“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice is scheduled to be released from prison in December, but RadarOnline.com has reported she may be in talks to leave as early as this summer.
Teresa inquired about obtaining a weekend pass to go visit her ailing parents, but was told she'd need to provide proof of their poor health, according to an insider.
The source revealed, “Teresa asked her lawyer to try and get her a weekend furlough that would allow her to leave the prison to visit her parents, Antonia and Giacinto. Giacinto is in poor health, and Teresa just wants to spend time with them.”
“However, Teresa was told there would need to be documentation from her father's doctor outlining his current health condition. Nothing has changed since she went to prison,” the source said. “She was advised to not pursue the furlough.”
Teresa is currently serving a 15-month sentence. She turned herself in to Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut on January 5 to serve time for bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.
Her husband Joe will begin serving his 41-month sentence once Teresa is released, which is currently scheduled for December 23, 2015.
