Justin Theroux Dishes on Bromance with ‘Queer Eye’ Cast
Last night, Justin Theroux was solo at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie, “The Spy Who Dumped Me.”
“Extra's” Terri Seymour spoke with Theroux, who opened up on his new friendship with the guys from “Queer Eye.” Justin said he reached out to the guys, sharing, “It came about by literally just DMing Jonathan [Van Ness]… I saw on his Insta Stories he was in New York and so I was like, 'Why don't you just come, you know, come over?' It was Easter and I was like, 'Come over and have some Easter with me,' and he came, he was like, 'I'm in an Uber already and I'm coming right over,' and gradually we started getting some of the other guys to come over and it turned into this little clutch at my house.”
The always-dapper Theroux revealed whether the crew of stylists has tried to make him over, saying, “Tan has tried to get me to wear color, 'cause he's very colorful, obviously.”
“I do what works and I also don't want to do several loads of laundry. I want to do my blacks and my whites — that's it. Keep it real simple!” Justin pointed out.
As for what advice he has given the guys, Theroux shared, “I taught Anthony how to make my favorite salad dressing, and how to store vegetables in the fridge which he already knew. Me and Jonathan went in the bathroom and gabbed about hair products and stuff like that and he gave me a tip on this stuff called Surfcomber, which is texture for your hair.”
Theroux may be hanging out with the “Queer Eye” cast, but he also loved working with his “The Spy Who Dumped Me” co-stars Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon. He gushed, “It was the best... I mean, they're hilarious. Like some of the funniest women I've ever worked with...”
“We were on location in Budapest, so we would get together for dinners, have drinks together,” Justin elaborated. “It was like a little family.”
“The Spy Who Dump Me” hits theaters August 3.
