Does Goldie Hawn Approve of Daughter Kate Hudson’s New BF?
It was girls' night out in Las Vegas as Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer attended the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards together to promote their new movie “Snatched,” Goldie's first return to the big screen since 2002.
“Extra's” Renee Bargh caught up with Amy and Goldie, who stayed coy on daughter Kate Hudson's new romance with musician Danny Fujikawa. The two were recently spotted kissing and holding hands in NYC, but Goldie prefers not to say whether she approves. She explained, “I don't like to be the person who approves, doesn't approve 'cause my mother did not approve of one boyfriend — or husband! Her motto was, 'Never get married.'”
Goldie was more open about Amy's boyfriend Ben Hanisch, who she got to know on the set of “Snatched.” She shared, “I really like him — he's a really good person.”
“He is kind,” Amy chimed in.
“And he's a solid, kind person,” Goldie continued. "I liked him from the beginning.”
The two say they had a blast shooting the movie, which centers on a mom and daughter who get kidnapped during a crazy vacation. Amy shared, “We took the job seriously, but when we could, we would hang out and drink and go on a boat.”
During the evening, Goldie was honored with the Icon Award, but the Hollywood legend revealed that she was taking it easy in Vegas this time around. “Oh, I think I did everything there was ever to do in the '60s,” she jokingly boasted. Amy reminded Renee, “Yeah, she was a dancer here.”
Amy also commented on pulling out of the new “Barbie” movie, emphasizing, “I'm so disappointed it didn't work out. I really wanted it to. I wish them the best and I think it will make a great movie, and Mattel is so cool.”
“Snatched” hits theaters this Mother's Day.
