Angelina Jolie's Advice to Her Younger Self!

Angelina Jolie is back as Maleficent, this time joined by Michelle Pfeiffer. Both iconic actresses and their co-star Elle Fanning met up for a sit-down with "Extra's" Renee Bargh to talk about their roles in "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil."

Michelle broke some news — literally — that she broke her arm getting out of a bathtub. "I was at a hotel and I got out and I saw really slippery marble floors... and I said to myself, 'Self, slippery floor, be careful.'"

Angelina, who brought her kids to set when she shot the first movie, "Maleficent," and whose son Maddox just started college, said it was always important that her kids understood her career. "The good thing, I think, is I've wanted them to be exposed to it all... It's a part of their life. But it's not important to them and a center of their lives in a way that's unhealthy, so it's all fun.”

Renee asked if she related to Maleficent in the sense of finding a balance between letting her kids do what they want but still being protective, to which Angelina said, "I think I have an easier time than Maleficent... It's very hard for her... She just really doesn't trust humans."

Thrilled to be working with Elle again, Jolie said, "And now I get to work with Michelle, and it became a whole new experience for me. It's always nice when you're with actors you respect and you get to play and you have something you get to chew up a little bit together."

Michelle admitted, "We laughed a lot," saying they would look around and marvel at the idea this movie was their job! Michelle remembered saying to Angelina, "You're in horns," and Angelina said she thought to herself, "Michelle Pfeiffer is yelling at me. And I'm a giant fairy."

Elle said, "I was 14 when I did the first film. Now I'm 21. So in my life, a lot's changed," prompting Angelina and Michelle to share what they would look back and tell their younger selves. Michelle said, "I think I wish I had not been so frightened for the earlier part of my career. Just in terms of learning how to adjust to being famous and losing my privacy... That part of it was hard for me, and I wish I had been a little more relaxed about it."

Angelina said, "'You have to go through everything — everything leads to something else, and it's you. Hang on.' That's what I would say to my younger self. Just, 'Hang on. You're gonna love being a mom.'"
