Sharna Burgess’ ‘DWTS’ Blog: Who She’s Got Her Eye on for Switch-Up Week
"Dancing with the Stars” pro Sharna Burgess is blogging exclusively for ExtraTV.com this season. Check out her latest post below!
It is incredible to think that we went from one of the lowest scores last week, to one of the highest scores last night. Antonio Brown made me so proud, watching him on that stage nailing every part of this routine was amazing. My favorite part was him trying to better himself right until that music started for the live performance. He was an amazing student this week. I could not be more proud of how much he grew.
Seeing that smile on Len's face when we walked over to the judges' table, I immediately knew this would be a great score for us. I did not think it was going to be that high! I am so proud of not just Antonio, but us as a team. We overcame many obstacles this week with lack of rehearsal time and it shows just how much we can achieve as a couple together.
This is our best performance so far of the season. It truly showed me how much Antonio is capable of. To see him dance up there with four pro dancers behind him and hold his own, really made him stand out. I think that was a really important thing, coming from such low scores. It was necessary for us to show how talented he is, how hard he works, and how much he wants to move forward in this competition. I think this is the beginning of our journey. This is where we see him really start to kick in and excel at this competition.
Heading into Switch-Up next week, it is really sad to go from our best score yet and then to send him off to another pro. I did say to Antonio, that everybody here is incredibly talented and they will all take care of him. All he has to do is trust them. There is not one person that I would love to see him with, I think he would be great with anybody. I just want to see him do well next week.
As far as who I want to dance with, I think all the males left in the competition are amazing and incredibly talented. I would love to dance with Nyle. Would love to have Wanya. And also would have an amazing time with Von — I think he is the biggest sweetheart! We will see what happens, though. It is bittersweet going into Switch-Up Week because it is exciting to work with someone else, but it is also sad to see someone you have built a relationship with move on to someone else. BUT it is always exciting and there is always a little of drama.
Thank you as always to the Sharna Squad and the Steelers Nation for their constant support every week! We could not do this without you!
"Extra's" Tracey Edmonds was backstage during week 4 of the show catching up with Sharna, Antonio, and the rest of the cast and their pro partners. Watch!
