Jennifer Garner Set to Receive Baby2Baby’s Giving Tree Award

Actress Jennifer Garner will be honored with the Giving Tree award at the 2016 Baby2Baby Gala.
Garner is being recognized for using her fame to raise awareness for low-income children. She wrote in a statement, "I am honored to be receiving Baby2Baby's Giving Tree Award and look forward to working together in the future — so that we can continue to reach as many children as possible.”
She continued, "In my eight years as Artist Ambassador for Save the Children, I have had the honor of visiting our programs all over the United States where I have seen, first hand, the severity of poverty in our country, and it's devastating and lasting impact on families and children. How can we claim to be a country that puts children first when one out of three mothers in the US has to choose between providing her children with diapers or food? Baby2Baby is making good on their commitment to providing low-income families with access to the most basic necessities for their children.”
Baby2Baby co-presidents Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein added, “We are so proud to honor Jennifer for her commitment to supporting low-income children. She is quite possibly the biggest advocate for these issues we have ever come across. She has worked tirelessly for seven years to help combat children's poverty through education and leadership. Just this past year, she helped us secure over 2 million diapers to distribute to the families in our program across the country. We are beyond grateful for her immeasurable contributions to children all over the world and to the children of Baby2Baby.”
Some of the previous honorees include Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, and Kerry Washington.
The gala will take place on November 12 at 3Labs.
