Britney Spears Speaks Out After Her Book Release
Britney Spears dominated headlines Tuesday as her new memoir “The Woman in Me” hit bookstores.
She celebrated the early success of the book on Instagram, writing, “It’s happening ✨🤓📖 !!! My book is the highest selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1 !!! Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive !!! Love you all 🌹 !!!”
While sales reports have not been publicly released yet, Britney’s book is number one on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
In the book, Britney gets candid about her darkest times, like her headline-making breakdown in 2008 when she was placed on a psychiatric hold after locking herself in the bathroom with son Jayden.

View StoryShe also covers everything from her conservatorship to past relationships, including bombshells about ex Justin Timberlake.
Spears discusses some tough times with Timberlake, confessing that she had an abortion during their relationship.
Of the unplanned pregnancy, she writes, “It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.”
Along with writing that Timberlake “definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy,” she adds, “He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."
Spears also accuses Justin of cheating on her and admits to cheating on him with choreographer Wade Robson.

View StoryTimberlake has not commented on Spears’ memoir, but a source told Us Weekly, “Justin thought Britney might talk about their ups and downs in more general terms — not air out their very personal, dirty laundry. He’s disappointed she went this route decades after they split up.”
A second source added, “Justin regrets that he hurt Britney. He was young. He thinks Britney has every right to tell her story and hopes they can move on now.”
