Nicki Minaj Expecting First Child with Kenneth Petty

Rapper Nicki Minaj, 37, has a bun in the oven!

On Monday morning, Minaj announced that she was “preggers” with husband Kenneth Petty's baby.

Along with posting pics of her baby bump, she wrote, “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛”

The baby news comes just nine months after Nicki and Kenneth tied the knot.

In October, Nicki broke the news about their marriage by posting an Instagram video of Mr. and Mrs. mugs with bride and groom caps.

Minaj referenced her new name with the caption, “👰🏽🤵🏽😢🙏🏽🎀 Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19.”

Last summer, Nicki revealed that they would be getting married soon, after filing for a marriage license. On her Beats 1 “Queen Radio” show, she said, “We still had to pick it up and I was traveling, by the time I came back, we had to renew it again. From that time, you have 90 days to get married. That was about a week ago, so now I have about 80 days.”

She noted that they weren't going have an elaborate wedding. Minaj explained, “I have to work on my album and I have a lot to focus on that I don't want to do the big wedding now. We'll do the big wedding later.”

After their wedding, Nicki opened up about her future plans in a now-deleted tweet. She wrote, “I've decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE.”

Minaj would backpedal on her words, saying, “The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe ❤️🙏.”
