Bill O’Reilly Breaks His Silence with Podcast
Embattled TV anchor Bill O'Reilly is speaking out for the first time since being fired from Fox News Channel last week.
O'Reilly broke his silence on his new “No Spin Zone” podcast on Monday, saying, “I am sad that I'm not on television anymore. I was very surprised how it all turned out. I can't say a lot, because there's much stuff going on right now. But I can tell you that I'm very confident the truth will come out, and when it does, I don't know if you're going to be surprised – but I think you're going to be shaken, as I am. There's a lot of stuff involved here.”
The former “The O'Reilly Factor” host also told fans that he will begin posting a 15-minute podcast every day, which will be free through Thursday. After that, it will only be available to premium members.
Sexual harassment allegations have been swirling around O'Reilly, and The New York Times reports FNC has paid $13 million to settle claims against cable's top talker.
21st Century-Fox released a statement last week, explaining, “After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel.”
