‘Magnum P.I.’ Actor John Hillerman Dead at 84
Actor John Hillerman has passed away at the age of 84.
Hillerman, best known for his role as Jonathan Quayle Higgins, III on “Magnum, P.I.,” died today in Houston. The exact cause of death is not yet known.
Hillerman earned four Emmy nominations for his work on Tom Selleck series, winning for Supporting Actor in 1987. He took home a Golden Globe for the role five years earlier.
Hillerman also appeared in "The Love Boat," "The Betty White Show," and "Murder, She Wrote.” He worked in many films, including Clint Eastwood's “High Plains Drifter,” Mel Brooks' “Blazing Saddles,” and Roman Polanski's “Chinatown.”
His final role was in 1996 as Dr. Whitehead in “A Very Brady Sequel.”
