Ben Higgins & Lauren Bushnell Call Off Wedding — Is It Over?
“The Bachelor” couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have called off their wedding.
In the latest episode of their “Bachelor” spin-off "Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After,” Ben put the brakes on the nuptials, telling Lauren, "I don't want us to rush it. I think making a commitment, like marrying somebody, involves knowing what you're getting into. There's still things that we need to know. And I would rather do that now than get into… after a wedding and then, all of a sudden, sit down and be like, 'What the hell did we just do?' I think this thing sped up real fast, and we haven't had a second to breathe. We both started to know each other. We were engaged. Like, it's weird. But now it's time not to rush anything else.”
After a session with a therapist, Higgins still felt the same. He said, "I think when it comes to the wedding. I feel like we have so much to figure out that it's hard for me at this point to really feel comfortable getting married."
According to Life & Style, the pair has reportedly been fighting for months and has broken up off-camera. A source told the publication, "They were banking on [their spin-off show] being a huge hit and it completely flopped. After that, Lauren told Ben she'd had it with their relationship.”
The two will reportedly break up officially once the season of "Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After” comes to an end. The insider continued, "Lauren wishes she could have found her happily ever after, but she's thankful she didn't air a fake wedding to the whole world.”
