Blake Gushes About Baby James, Plus Talks ‘Age of Adaline’ in First Sit-Down Since Becoming a Mom
Blake Lively sat down with “Extra's” Jerry Penacoli to promote her new movie “Age of Adaline,” in her first interview since becoming a mom to 3-month-old daughter James.
As for whether motherhood was everything she expected, Lively said, “I don't think you can expect anything, every moment is different than you expect it to be.” She went on, “But, it's just so fulfilling, rewarding, lovely, exhausting, everything you can imagine, all the adjectives.”
Lively also revealed she totally geeked out over “Extra” host Mario Lopez's promo he shot for hubby Ryan Reynolds' upcoming movie “Deadpool.”
“Mario's no longer with us after that,” joked Lively. “'Deadpool' murdered him.”
Lively contined, “It was amazing, what a trooper Mario is, I was super geeked out cause I'm a huge 'Saved by the Bell” fan, still.”
Fans of Lively can see the actress next in theaters playing a woman who never ages after a bizarre car accident in “Age of Adaline,” saying she didn't feel pressure to always look her best during filming.
“This movie wasn't about this woman always looking her very best, you look at the time period that Adaline came of age, in the 1950s there was no such thing as putting on sweatpants and Uggs and going to the grocery store, you put on your gloves, your pillbox hat, matching cardigans -- women really presented themselves.”
“Age of Adaline” is in theaters April 24th.
