Ryan Reynolds and Mario Lopez Pull the Ultimate April Fools' Joke! Watch
Actor Ryan Reynolds and “Extra's” Mario Lopez pulled the ultimate April Fools' joke as a promo for “Deadpool." Watch!
In the video, it appears Mario is interviewing Reynolds via satellite about whether Ryan's new action movie “Deadpool” will be rated PG-13 or R. When Mario starts pushing for a PG-13 rating, Deadpool appears and knocks Mario out, saying, “It's okay Jesse, Slater can't hurt you anymore,” an homage to Lopez's “Saved By The Bell” days.
In reality, Mario was with Ryan on set in Vancouver for an exclusive one-on-one interview.
Reynolds, who played the assassin with superpowers in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” revealed that fans will notice some similarities between Wade Wilson and his famous character Van Wilder. “There are little pangs of Van, I think in our friend Wade Wilson,” adding that you can't help but “put a little bit in there.”
Ryan also opened up about his daughter with wife Blake Lively, revealing that they named her James after his father and Blake's grandfather. “We just wanted to kind of carry on a little family tradition.”
Reynolds added that he hopes to have more kids someday, saying, “I can't imagine not having a bunch.”
“Deadpool” opens in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
