‘Louvre Heist’ Special: Couple Recalls Being Inside Museum During Break-In (Exclusive Clip)
Discovery
“Extra” has an exclusive clip from Discovery’s new one-hour special "Louvre Heist: Minute by Minute.”
The special documents the brazen robbery, which took place Oct. 19, 2025. The thieves broke into the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, in broad daylight, entering at 9:30 a.m. and exiting by 9:38 a.m. with more than $100 million in treasure.
In the clip, American couple Holly and Jacob Barker open up about visiting the museum that day.
Holly recalls making a beeline for an “emerald necklace that was Napoleon’s second wife’s” at 9:32 a.m., while Jacob said he took a photo of a unicorn mermaid teapot at exactly 9:33 a.m.
Jacob said it was around that time that they noticed a disturbance.
He explained, “We heard several loud bangs coming from the furthest window from the entrance. Everyone froze and looked at the balcony window… You could feel the walls vibrating."
Holly added, “Someone was trying to get in.”
Jacob continued, “I’ve never been in, like, a home invasion situation, but I imagine it’s like that. What got the hairs on everyone’s neck to stand up was that distinct sound of a metal circular blade making its way through glass.”
“Louvre Heist: Minute by Minute” premieres on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery.
